October 2021

In Year 4, we have been looking at how we can 'grow' as people and what we would like to work on in order to do this. This has been put on display in our classroom.

We have also been looking at who we can trust, The children have been working together in partners to discuss a particular situation and seeing whether their friends would trust the person who has offered to help or to not trust them.

Remembrance Day 2021

We had some thoughtful and inspiring conversations on Thursday to mark our Remembrance Day. The 2 minute silence was observed and the children, as expected were excellently behaved. For our english work that day, the children were asked to produce a radio advert to recruit people to help with the War Effort. They had a choice to recruit for the Dig for Victory Campaign, the Air Raid Wardens or the Women's Voluntary Service. I have attached the videos for you to see what the children have been up to.

History - Athenians vs Spartans

For our Ancient Greece area of study, the children have been looking at the similarities and differences between the people of Athens and the people of Sparta. They looked at how each area was Governed, what education was available and what life was like for boys and girls. The below pictures are the children taking part in a freeze frame to show one of the areas that they have been looking into.
