Welcome to our class page!

These are our school 'rules'. We have talked about what each one means and how we demonstrate each of these in school.

We have also talked about how they link with our school moto:

"Success comethrough personal effort!"

We certainly have a lot of exciting learning planned for the coming term! Keep checking this page, the news items and the gallery for updates. Scroll to the bottom of the page for key information.

This week in our maths we have been using different manipulatives to represent 2 and 3 digit numbers. We have then drawn a pictoral representation of these manipulatives. We have been thinking about the value of each digit in a number.

We have started looking at the book 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark' by Jill Tomlinson. This week we have been learning about what makes a good sentence. We have been focusing on the use of capital letters, full stops, spaces in between words and making sure it makes sense.

We have also been looking at the Year 1 words that we MUST be able to spell correctly all of the time (see files to download at the bottom of the page). We will be spending this half term reinforcing the Phase 3 and 5 sounds when reading and spelling (see files to download).

In our art lesson this week we have been thinking about the meaning of different colours and how different colours make us feel.
