Weed beginning 15/4/19
What a fantastic trip to the Grosvenor Museum in Chester! We had such fun exploring Roman artefacts and marching through Chester to the ampitheatre. We even got to charge at the teachers and parent helpers in Roman army formations!
Week beginning 4/3/19
We had lots of fun on world book day! Wearing our favourite character costumes and scavenger hunting for books with our year 1 link class, 1B.
Our assemblies this week focus on staying safe. In year four today, we used CBBC's '8 top tips for staying safe online' to support our discussion:
Week beginning 18/02/2019
PE - A very busy week in PE. We have been lucky enough to have Sale Sharks come into school to run tag rugby sessions, which will continue throughout this half term. We braved the apparatus this week in Gymnastics! What fun we have had this week!

English - we have been practising using there, their and they're correctly.
Week beginning 28/01/2019
This week we have explored volume and pitch. What happens when you hit a drum hard or gently? What happens to the loudness of the drum? What happens to the vibrations of the elastic band when you pluck it gently or hard? What if the elastic is pulled tighter?
Week beginning 14/01/2019
We have been very lucky to have started Gymnastics this half term with Beth Tweddle Gymnastics. The class have loved getting involved and learning new skills with the specialist gymnastics coach.
Week beginning 07/01/2019
This week 4L finally made their clay mythical buildings. A whole day of applying previous clay skills to bring their designs to life. The children were incredibly patient, determined and resilient throughout the whole day. Miss Latham and Ms Plant were ever so proud of their hard work.
Week beginning 17/12/18
This week we have created our own Christmas themed treats with Mrs Tatham as part of food technology at school. The children worked so hard together. We are so proud of them and their creations!
We are incredibly lucky to have Mrs Tatham at Flixton!
