Learning French opens up children's access to the wider world by preparing them for interaction with people who live in different places and who may possess different life perspectives.

French learning is also a powerful facilitator of intercultural awareness and international-mindedness, both of which encourage children to become global citizens.

Additionally, because children's learning experiences include speaking, listening, reading and writing, their metalinguistic skills improve. This results in greater understanding of English.
