SPRING TERM

We will be spending time over the next few weeks recapping over some of the things we learned during our remote learning. Check back regularly to see what we have been learning.

September:

This week we have been counting forwards and backwards within 100 starting from different numbers.

We have been reading and writing numbers to 100 in numerals and words.

We have also been using lots of concrete maths equipment to represent numbers to 100.

We can use this to help us understand the place value of each digit in a number:

October:

This week we have been using the < , > and = symbols to compare objects and numbers (Week 3 on White Rose Home Learning):

We've then been using a part whole model to partition numbers into tens and ones(also Week 3 on White Rose Home Learning):

We have been learning how to use place value charts to represent numbers. This is part of Week 3 on White Rose home learning.

See if you can have a go at home:

November:

This week we have been counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We have looked at the pattern that is made on a 100 square when you count in 2s, 5s and 10s and used this to help us when counting.
