Our New Workshop Area!

Lesson: EYFS

The children are so excited to have a new area in Nursery and are already starting to build amazing models. The Workshop Area will help develop fine motor skills as well as problem solving and imagination. We have talked about three things we have to think about; what we are making, what we want it to look like and what we will need.

The children have spent time cutting, sticking, attaching, twisting and adding lots of different materials to their models until they are happy with the result. Then we talk about what we have made, how we made it and if there is anything else we could change or add to our models. Have a look!

If you have any recycling at home that the children could use for model making, we would love to take it off your hands (small boxes, tubes, small bottles / pots (clean), materials, ribbon etc.)
