SEN Information for Parents

On this page, we have added some general information and some items for those who may want additional support for their children with Special Educational Needs, for example Speech and Language, Autism, Dyslexia or motor skills activities. We want to ensure that our children are supported as well as possible and updated information will be added to this page.

SEND Processes

Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP

An education, health and care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through special educational needs support.

EHC plans identify educational, health and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs.

An EHC plan can only be issued after a child or young person has gone through the process of an Education, Health and Care Plan Assessment.
