1M 2026-2027 2025 - 2026

Welcome to 1M! 

Welcome to Autumn Term! We have lots of exciting things ahead of us. Working with Year 1 in the morning will be Mrs DaSilva, who will also teach 1M on a Friday afternoon. 

Our school rules link to our school motto 'success comes through personal effort,' and these also help the children to become more intuitive, resilient and kind individuals. 

Any bits of useful information or documents to support learning at home will be uploaded onto our page, as well as various gallery items. Be sure to keep checking every now and again for updates! 

1M routines:

PE: Monday and Friday (this may change after Christmas) 

Reading books in: Monday and Friday

Reading Racetrack books in: Friday

Library books changed: Every other Monday (this may change after Christmas)

Spellings on Spelling Shed: Friday (starting later in September) 

Infant Department Uniform                                                                               

- Navy blue school jumper/cardigan (with logo)

- Grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore

- Blue summer dress

- White polo shirt

- Grey or navy blue plain socks or tights

-Black school shoes (not boots or trainers)

PE Kit:

- Plain white top

- Navy blue shorts

- Black pumps

An optional outdoor PE kit can be used (navy/dark coloured joggers and jumper with trainers) in addition to the basic kit of pumps, shorts and top.

Our classroom:

At the beginning of the year, our classroom will look a lot like your classroom in Reception. We will have areas of provision that you will spend time learning in such as a Writing Area, Maths Area, Phonics Area, Construction Area, Reading Area, Enquiry Area, Reading Area and Creative Area.Please see the photos in the welcome booklet attached.
