Handwriting
We have been working hard to make sure we can form all of the lower case and upper case cursive letters correctly. The children should be writing using cursive all of the time now. This will help when they move into Year 3 and start to learn how to join and work towards getting their pen licence. Click on the links to see how to form the lower and upper case cursive letters:

Spelling
We have also been working hard to make sure we know how to spell all of the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 TRICKY WORDS. These words are TRICKY because they can't be sounded out (most of them anyway!), so we need to just learn them off by heart. The image below is what we use at our tables in the classroom to help us with these TRICKY WORDS.
