Welcome to the Parent Teacher Association. We are a registered charity run by volunteer parents and teachers whose aim is to support and contribute to the life of the school through fund-raising and community events.
With the help of our parents, teachers and of course the children we have raised money for some amazing projects, and had a lot of fun in the process.
You will be able to see where our money went to in 2016 in the new equipment in the playground. For 2017/2018 we are raising money for a brand new library for the Infant department, then we are moving outside. We are looking to make a new walkway, and improve the outside space to better connect the 2 departments. We will also be providing new equipment for the infant department for a fabulous outdoor learning area.
We hold several events during the year and lots of fun and games is had. We hold an annual Christmas Fair, Easter event, Dignity day for grandparents, cake sales and our first main event as a combined school PTA will be the Summer Festival. We hold brilliant events for the parents too, these include a quiz night, and earlier this year we held our first pamper/shopping night which was a great evening. This year we are looking at holding a family disco, more details to follow.
We have just held our Infant Christmas Fair, and it was a resounding success. It was opened by the Right Honourable Mayor of Trafford who got well into the spirit of things by getting a tattoo by Tracy Hartley (well she tried, he had to go back a second time for a better one with Rae Watson).
Families arrived in their droves to enjoy the stalls, fun and games, and of course a visit to the big man. We raised a phenomenal £3131.91 profit this year. This will go towards the new library which is coming along brilliantly.
While at school for the Christmas Fair, we got a sneak peek at the new library, and WOW what a transformation. We think the children will be very happy using the library, its a great space, very colourful with some fabulous seating, including the boat seat that will be a great feature for the room. So now it's just waiting on the books and a sort out of where everything will go then it will be up and running for the children.
