Spring Term

Well, it's been a funny Spring Term! 5FK did an AMAZING job with their remote learning, but we're really pleased to have all of the children back learning 'in person'. Here are a few of the things we've been up to:

Lino prints:

The children have finally been able to finish their lino prints. It has been a long process from creating the design based on Hokusai's 'Great Wave', transferring this onto the lino, cutting it and then printing. I am sure you will agree that the final pieces of artwork are fabulous. Here are some photos from the printing today.

Guitar lessons:

The children has their final guitar lesson today. We are sorry that the lessons have come to an end. The children have enjoyed the lessons and staff have really enjoyed seeing the amazing progress they've made. We hope that some of the children want to continue learning to play.  Here are a few photos from the lesson today.

Shakespeare Week:

The children wrote their own playscripts for some Shakespeare plays. We then when outside to act them out. Here are some photos.

DT:

The children had to work with concentration and resilience today as we finally made our puppets. They're not quite done yet, but they are going to look amazing! There are lots more photos in the gallery on our main class page.

Science:

We have been learning about materials and their properties and we spent some time thinking about how different properties might be useful (or not so useful.....) when making different items (chocolate door handle, anyone?!). We investigated various properties and presented our findings in a scatter graph.
