Planting Seeds

Lesson: EYFS

First we read the book 'Titch' and talked about size and growing. We noticed that although Titch had the smallest seed, it grew the tallest! 

Next Mrs Carr told the children she would go to the garden centre and buy some soil, pots and seeds. The children helped decide which seeds we should get, they chose sunflowers and beans (for a beanstalk!).

We talked about what the seeds would need to grow and the children have said they will let us know how they get on. The sunflowers should take 2-3 weeks and the runner beans 1-2 weeks before we get seedlings. Please bring in any photos of your plant once it starts to grow so we can share it
