Science investigation - Popcorn

Lesson: Science

Mrs Bateman wanted to know which popcorn to buy for our movie snacks if we have a cinema treat time. We designed and carried out a science investigation to find out.

First we tasted sweet and salted popcorn.

Then we thought about how we could show which one our group liked best.

We made a class tally to collate the results. Then we thought about the different ways we could show what we had found out. We took a photo of us standing next to our favourite, we used coloured squares and voted for which was our favourite,

We then replaced the coloured squares with numbers.

Finally we arranged the coloured sqaures to complete a block graph.

We found out that more people in our class like sweet popcorn...so Mrs Bateman is off to the shops!!!
